This weekend’s plans include:
making these apple pie cookies (courtesy of Georgina, via SK)
butternut squash mac & cheese goodness (I’m gonna try this recipe (it has the word “creamy” in the title, so it’s obviously good for you) and might tweak it a little)
5k tomorrow morning (Chris will die). everyone knows a 3.1 mile race calls for carbo-loading, hence the mac & cheese.
followed by a boozey pre-bday brunch with all my Pittsburgh faves, except since brunch apparently doesn’t exist on Saturdays in Pittsburgh, it’s really just lunch. AT A MEXICAN RESTAURANT. WITH MARGS AND GUAC. BEFORE NOON. i’m okay with it if you’re okay with it.
beer club Saturday night. excuse me, Brewmeisters club. (thanks to business school, i’m living my best life.)
Emma promised me we could Facetime for our birthdays on Sunday. Neither of us have Facetimed before, so it should be nice and awkward. Susannah, you have to join the party, too.
a date on Sunday
lots of lounging/tv catchup/napping/slothing in between all of these. (which will be especially fantastic thanks to my new stockpile of throw blankets & the cold fall weather we are supposed to get tomorrow)
